I was talking to my brother about women’s attitudes towards their bodies, especially regarding weight/fat, and when he said “most guys don’t notice/care about that kind of thing,” I tried to explain why it was a lot more complicated than that. I ended up telling this story.
Body image is something that’s so hard to talk about, and it’s hard to express body positivity without sounding cheesy, false, or overly simplistic. But I’m gonna try. This is only my own experience, and it didn’t magically cure me of all my body image issues - but it was a major turning point for me nonetheless.
I always loved this about figure drawing class
The idea of a technologically advanced, prosperous and powerful African nation is just too much! Space Gods, though? HELL TO THE FUCKIN’ YEAH.
They need to just say “sorry, too black” and be honest for once.
I’m not surprise
I appreciate the juxtaposition of the beautiful scenery of Asgard. “Too difficult,” my ass.
Wtf. You guys understand that at no point he refers to Asgard, right? Comparing Black Panther to Iron Man and Cap. he is 100% correct. It’s a whole lot easier to set things in a world we already know. We know LA, we know the forties, the amount of world development needed is not so high. At any point did this guy say Asgard was easy? FFS, do you think someone sat down and came up with that gorgeous scenery in one week? It’s hard work! Just because Marvel’s done it before doesn’t mean creating another is any easier.
If this interview talks about Thor and GotG and how they weren’t difficult than please, inform me and I’ll shut up. But saying ‘creating an ancient, advanced African nation (which google images shows to have towering spires, mighty statues and patterns carved into the buildings) is more difficult that creatingLos Angeles is not racism.
The copyright on redbubble drives me off the wall. I swear.
Yes, my designs are based off things. By they’re my designs. I’m not selling any images that don’t belong to me, I didn’t go and thieve anything. I didn’t use anyone fonts or logos or pre-existing designs.
It pisses me off that the things I worked so hard to make get flagged and removed and I can’t so much as say ‘but wait, I think you’ve made a mistake’ without having to provide a bunch of nonsense paperwork and the threat of ‘if they don’t like it, they could take you to court’. I’m not given any reason other than ‘we got a complaint’ either.
Anyway. T___T I don’t suppose anyone knows any sites similar to redbubble??
